It's grilling time... are you ready? Late summer/early fall is my favorite period of the year because it means great friends, games and barbecue! Make sure you get best portable grill for tailgating or camping or going to the park. The Weber Baby Q is my preferred portable gas grill, but there are many good portable charcoal grills too. Here are some guidelines on shopping for a new grill (full size or portable) to assist you get ready for the grilling season.
If you are thinking about purchasing a new grill, or barbecue, you will notice huge number of options to choose between. However, there is one alternative which you will need to make fairly immediately in your quest for the perfect grill for you. That decision is whether to purchase a charcoal or gas grill.
Both charcoal and gas grills have advantages over each other depending on what you are hunting for and how you plan to use it. However, the good news is that they both produce food that has been found to have very little difference in taste. Whether you opt the gas or charcoal version you can rest assured that they will both have the ability to produce good tasting fare.
For most, a barbecue is not a proper barbecue if it does not involve cooking over hot coals. This could take a long time to be at the optimum cooking temperature and can be tough to master, and besides there are ashes to be dealt with once the cooking is over. However, the primitive nature in many people (particularly men!) makes the charcoal grill plead to them as they are required to begin and tend the fire for the duration of the time for which they are cooking. Besides, most individual feel that cooking over coals gives the food a distinctive taste and aroma which you do not obtain with a gas grill. However, as mentioned before, this has not been found to be the case.
A gas grill can make life trouble-free. The flames are produced simply by touching a button and the temperature can be controlled at the turn of a knob. This is most preferred cooking over a traditional kitchen cooker, only outside. A gas grill even removes the waste once the cooking is over because there are no coals to clear out.
As you can see, both types of grill have their advantages. However, it is essential to think about your use of your grill before taking any decision. If you plan to use it rarely you may favor a charcoal grill because they are less costly. A gas grill will cost more to buy, but if you are going to use it frequently it will become more efficient after a while. For the newcomer to the grill, a charcoal grill might be the most sensible alternative. If you notice you are using it a lot and it is becoming expensive to buy new coals you will then have the chance to upgrade to a gas barbecue if you wish. If you splash out for a gas grill right away you may notice that if you use it infrequently it will be an unnecessary expenditure that you should not have made.
Whichever grill you choose - whether it's a full size grill or a portable grill, whether it's charcoal or gas - there is petite between the two types of grill in terms of the quality of the food cooked on them. Take your decision wisely and your grill is certain to be enjoyed on many celebrations over time and makes the best addition to any summer evening.
